  • Current distribution known : Lake Albert, including the delta of the Semliki River and the Victoria Nile River below the Murchison Falls, in northwestern Uganda and northeastern Democratic Republic of the Congo .
  • Ecology : not a seasonal killifish .
  • Habitat / home range : found in open water, and also among bordering vegetation in the shore regions and swampy lagoonal parts of Lake Albert .
  • Reproduction : near-to-surface spawner, 2 weeks incubation (Huber, Killi-Data online: www.killi-data.org) .
  • Size : 35 mm TL .

    • Haplochilichthys kassenjiensis Ahl, 1924 e: 137. Type locality: "Kassenji, Albert-See" Kasenye, northeastern Zaïre (01°24'N-30°26'E). Syntypes (7) ZMHU, registration number unknown| Worthington, 1932 b: 132.
