Common names : Kongoro lampeye (English), Kongoro-Leuchtaugenfisch (German) .
Current distribution known : Ruvu river drainage, Great Ruaha and Kilombero and lower Rufiji river drainage and delta and smaller eastward flowing river drainages in eastern Tanzania. .
Ecology : not a seasonal killifish. Is difficult to maintain in aquarium .
Habitat / home range : small rivers, brooks and shallow parts in rivers drainage .
Reproduction : near-to-surface spawner, 2 weeks incubation (Huber, Killi-Data online: www.killi-data.org) .
Size : 35 mm TL .
