Type locality: "Ein Sumpfgebiet, westlicht der Sao-Berge, 100 hen südwestlich von Iringa, entlang der Hauptstrasse von Mbeya nach Iringa, im Iringa district, Tanzania", central Tanzania (08°20'S-35°12'E). Holotype MRAC n° 77-16-P-60; paratypes MRAC n° 77-16-P-61-63 (3).
