Current distribution known :
known from Pool Malebo (=Stanley Pool) and the Central Congo basin to Kisangani. It has been recorded from a small river (Lufili River) in Congo, flowing into the Lower Congo. In Lower Guinea it is widespread throughout the region, except in coastal basins north of the Sanaga River
