Petrocephalus mbossou Lavoué, Sullivan & Arnegard, 2010: 38-41, fig. 13. Type locality: Cuvette-Ouest, Lékoli River (Congo basin), small branch of the Lékoli River, only ca. 300 meters long before it re-enters into the main channel of the Lékoli, Republic of the Congo (0.62°N-14.91°E). Holotype CU 92389.
