Current distribution known :
it's distribution ranges from Senegal to Chad. In Lower Guinea, the species is known from the Cross, Mungo, Wouri, Sanaga, Kribi and Ivindo rivers. In Western Africa, it occurs in coastal basins of Ghana to Cameroon, as well as in the Chad, Benue, Bagoé rivers (Niger basin), and in some coastal basins in Côte d'Ivoire. Also reported from Senegal
