  • Current distribution known : found from Togo across to Cameroon and South Sudan. In central Africa (Lower Guinea) this species is found in the Cross River. In north-eastern Africa, it is present in the upper tributaries of Bahr el Ghazal, South Sudan. In western Africa, it occurs in the Chad basin, Niger, Volta, Ogun and Cross Rivers .
