  • Common names : Parmicka Yongova (Czech), Nzoia barb (English), Nzoia pardkala (Estonian), Adel (Luo: Kenya) .
  • Current distribution known : confined to the Lake Victoria and Lake Kyoga drainage basins. It has been reported from the Nzoia, Kuja, Sondu Miriu and Nyando Rivers, all affluents of Lake Victoria in the Nyanza province in Kenya. Also found in Uganda: in the Malawa River and in the Aswa River, 20 miles north of Soroti .
