  • Common names : Parmicka mukungvanska (Czech), Rwasa barb (English), Ruasa pardkala (Estonian), Ishinja [Rwanda (Kinyarwanda): Rwanda] .
  • Current distribution known : only known from the Mukungwa River, an affluent of the Nyabarongo River in the Upper Akagera system in Rwanda. It is thought to be restricted to this short stretch of river that has clear waters prior to joining the Nyabarongo which is a larger river with much higher sediment loads. Quite intensive sampling of the wider areas, only found it at this locality .
