known only from three short river systems draining the Tell Atlas mountains in the vicinity of Algiers, northern Algeria. These comprise the Chiffa and Hammam Mélouane rivers and an apparently unnamed drainage which enters the Mediterranean Sea close to the city of Boumerdès
