  • Current distribution known : known from throughout the Congo River basin. It has not been found yet in the upper Lualaba-Lufirae and Mweru-Luapula-Bangweulu systems. In the Lower Congo, it is known from the Kinsuka falls, just below Pool Malebo (Stanley Pool); also the Kasai in the Congo system. Also known from upper Zambezi and Kafue systems .
