  • Current distribution known : in Western Africa, the species was found in mangroves and sublittoral zone of Port Harcourt (Niger Delta in Nigeria). Given the rarity of captures, it has been suggested that the presence of this species in West Africa is the result of an accidental introduction. Its usual range covers the coasts and estuaries of China, Australasia, Mozambique, and Madagascar .
