Current distribution known :
endemic to the Ogowe basin in the Lower Guinea ichthyofaunal province. Within the basin it is found in the Ivindo, the major right bank affluent of the Ogowe River in northern Gabon, and the Ngounié, the major left bank affluent of the Ogowe River in southern Gabon
