Type localities: "Near Bulu about 15 km downstream from Luozi (05°01'S-14°01'E); near Tadi, about 50 km downstream from Luozi (05°14'S-13°56'E) about 4-5 km upstream from Kinganga (05°16'S-13°47'E)", Lower Zaïre. Holotype MCZ n° 50.236; paratypes (28) MCZ n° 50.237, 50.294 and 50.379, BMNH n° 1976.5.21: 24, MRAC n° 76-17-P-5 to 6.
