Current distribution known : known from the Victoria Nile near the Owen Falls and from the northern part of Lake Victoria. It possibly also occurs in Lake Kyoga and in the Tanzanian part of Lake Victoria .
Food habits / trophic level : feeds mainly on lithophilic insects, plants and Copepoda, but shows great adaptability in diet .
