Lebias dispar Rüppell, 1828: 66, pl. 18, fig. 1-2. Type locality: "Alle Gegende des rothen Meers, aber auch in der termalischen süsswasser-Quelle von Hadjer Elme bei Tor", Red Sea. (Types probably from the Ethiopian coast). Lectotype SMF n° 821; paratypes SMF n° 1988 (10).
