    • Fundulus melanospilus Pfeffer, 1896: 48, fig. 19 a. Type locality: "Longo-Bay", presently Ilonga, eastern Tanzania (06° 47´ S-37° 01´ E). Syntypes ZMHU, registration numbers unknown (males from Longo Bay, stored as Fundulus guentheri, ZMHU n° 21.482).
    • Nothobranchius emini Ahl, 1935 b: 125. Type locality: "Kongoran Botto, Deutsch Ostafrika", presently Ikongoro, eastern Tanzania (06° 59´ S-39° 97´ E). Syntypes ZMHU n° 21.392.
    • Nothobranchius seychellensis Ahl, 1935 b: 128. Type locality: "Seychellen" (Incorrect). Syntypes ZMHU, registration numbers unknown and BMNH n° 1865.3.18: 98-99 (5) (stored as Fundulus melanospilus).
