  • Habitat / home range : a common inhabitant of mangrove estuaries and the lower reaches of freshwater streams. Also occurs in the sea, particularly in shallow embayments and in harbours in the vicinity of wreckage, wharf pilings, and stone jettys. Sometimes found in schools composed of several hundred individuals .
