Aquariology : very difficult to maintain in aquarium .

Common names : Laikkuviiripyrstö (Finnish), Gefleckter Prachtkärpfling (German) .
Current distribution known : found on the inland plateau of northern Gabon, in the Okano River, between Koumameyong and Lalara. It is also found in southeastern Equatorial Guinea .
Ecology : not a seasonal killifish .
Food habits : ants and other insects .
Habitat / home range : brooks in the rainforest on the inland plain .
Reproduction : laying adhesive egg on aquatic plants and roots, 2 weeks incubation; eggs diameter: 1.3 mm .
Size : 50 mm TL .
