  • Habitat / home range : found in ponds and the small rivers in rain forest. Stagnant water on darker and dirty substratum (dead leaves, mulm) .

  • Reproduction : near-to-surface spawner; 2 weeks incubation (Huber, Killi-Data online: www.killi-data.org). Reported to be an open substratum egg scatterer .
