Type locality: Kenya, from waterholes on a journey across the Boji plains, on the way to Meri, exact locality not known bur approx. 01°30'N 39°10'E (100-130 m alt.). Holotype: BMNH 1957.11.22:5, male 48.2 mm SL, Battersby J.C., 15 December 1951. Paratypes: BMNH 1957.11.22:6-19, 1957.11.22:20-54.
