Type locality: Mozambique: Cabo Delgado, temporary pool about 35 km north of Mocimboa da Praia village, within the Meronvi River basin, 11°09.405'S 40°19.441'E, altitude 10 m. Holotype: ZSM 35101, male 27.0 mm SL, Hengstler H. & Vendo S., 15 May 2005. Paratypes: ZSM 35102, MRAC 2006.041.P.0001, 2007.029.P.0006, 2007.029.P.0007, SAIAB 78304.
