Current distribution known : known from the Ntem basin in Cameroon, and the Louetsi and Nyanga Rivers, and Mouvanga Creek in Gabon. Also occurs in the Congo drainage (Dja River) and possibly in north-eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (collections from Buta and the Epulu River) .
