Also introduced in Algeria (El Golea) from France, but never became established .

    • Cyprinus tinca Linnaeus, 1758: 321. Type locality: European lakes. No types known. Spelled trinca by Linnaeus 1766: 526. Neotype designated by Fricke 1999 (SMNS 10985), but withdrawn in Fricke 2000.
