  • Current distribution known : found in the Sibwe, Mubuku, Tokwe and Kirimia Rivers in the Ruwenzori area. In Rwanda it is known from the Middle (Lake Ihema) and Upper (Nyabarongo, Akanyaru, Mutamphu, Nyabugogo, Mwogo, Satinsyi and Kiryango Rivers) Akagera River system It is also found in the Rusizi and Malagarazi River basins in Burundi and from the Chirangobwe River (Lake Kivu basin) .
