Common names : Wandering seabream (English) .
Current distribution known : western Indian Ocean from Knysna in South Africa to southern Mozambique. Also known from Zambezi River and some other coastal rivers. Possibly present in Madagascar, but this needs confirmation .
Habitat / home range : adults and juveniles found in estuaries and in freshwater .
Size : 600 mm SL .
