recorded from several different localities around the lake and appears to have a lake-wide distribution. This species was also seen at Gome, Likoma Island, Mbowe Island, and Cape Maclear in Malawi, and at Nkanda, Kirondo, Makonde, and Cape Kaiser in the Tanzanian part of the lake
