  • Current distribution known : only known from Lake Victoria. Specimens were caught in the northern part and the entrance of the Mwanza Gulf, and near Nafuba Island and in Magu Bay of the Speke Gulf .

  • Food habits / trophic level : intestines of 23 specimens were examined; 18 contained remains of haplochromine fishes, two contained remains of Rastrineobola argentea (Pellegrin, 1904), five contained Chaoborus larvae, pupae and undeterminable insects, and remains of the shrimp Caridina nilotica were found in only one specimen each .
