Lamprologus speciosus Büscher, 1991: 377, 378-380, fig. 4, 12, 13, 15. Type locality: Lake Tanganyika, near Bwassa, about 65 kilometers south of Moba, Democratic Republic of Congo (7°25'S-30°10'E). Holotype ZSM 27971; paratypes ZSM 27972, MRAC 94.05.P.0016-0019 (ex ZSM 27972), MRAC 94.05.P.0020-0021 (ex ZSM 27973).
