Neolamprologus pectoralis Büscher, 1991: 788-792, fig. 1, 3-5, 8-11. Type locality: Lake Tanganyika, near Tembwe, 7°10'S-30°00'E, about 40 kilometers south of Moba, Democratic Republic of Congo. Holotype: ZSM 28094 (ex MRAC 94.05.P.0029); paratypes: ZSM 28095 (ex MRAC 94.05.P.0030-0032), 28096 (ex MRAC 94.05.P.0033), MRAC 94.05.P.0021 (ex ZSM 28905).
