  • Current distribution known : endemic to Lake Malawi, occurs in the northern part of the southeast arm of the lake, within the Ilala Gap up to the north of Nankumba Peninsula, in Domira Bay, as well as in Young's Bay (Malawi) and Wissman Bay (Tanzania). One live individual was also allegedly collected at Likoma Island .
