  • Current distribution known : found in coastal waters from Mauritania to Angola or possibly Namibia. However, it should be noted that the distribution is uncertain because this species is sometimes confused with E. senegalensis .

  • Reproduction : reproduction takes place in the sea; it spends one (± 153 mm SL) or two years (± 244 mm SL) brackish water and then moves back to coastal waters where they attain maturity. Fecundity ranged from 716 to 11,345 in number. The eggs were as small as 0.04mm and as big as 1.37 mm in diameter .
