Current distribution known :
common in the Cross River within 20 km downstream of Mamfé. Other known specimens of this species, all in the BMNH have only "West Africa" or "Old Calabar" for locality. The record of a specimen from Gabon by Boulenger, 1916 a: 147, is based on misidentified material of T. guttifer. Other records are doubtful
