  • Current distribution known : widespread in the Indo-West Pacific. It has been reported from the Red Sea, Somalia, Mozambique, South Africa and India, as well as Madagascar and Réunion; east to Myanmar, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Viet Nam; north to the Philippines, Taiwan, Province of China, China, and southern Japan; and south to Papua New Guinea and Australia .
  • Food habits / trophic level : its diet consists of a diversity of benthic invertebrates, including crustaceans, such as penaeids and amphipods .
  • Habitat / home range : a marine species entering estuaries .
  • Size : 350 mm TL .
